Outside Speech Evaluations Guidelines Due Dates: #1__________#2___________ (You may turn in any of these before the due date.) Purpose : This assignment will give you the opportunity to view and evaluate public presentations outside of the classroom. You are required to complete 3 of these assignments during the course term. What to Evaluate : You can attend a live speech or other public presentation, or watch one online, by video/DVD, or on TV. What presentations qualify? The presentation must: 1)have been given before an audience of multiple people in order to qualify, 2) have been presented “live” at some point in time, at any point in history, and 3) be ethical in nature (No hate speech!). Possible presentation types include: A political speech or debate, a sales presentation, a briefing, a commemorative speech, a motivational speech, a sermon, a briefing, a lecture…NO COMEDY SHOWS, INTERVIEWS, PLAYS, CONCERTS, MOVIES, OR PERFORMANCES. Assignment : 1) View the presentation while taking notes on key areas covered in the questions below.
