We know that cells move toward the source of cAMP signal. To test in which directions the cell moves, you would first have to make sure that food supply is minimal in the environment so that the amoeboid cells have a reason to aggregate. a.a. One experiment that can be performed is to place one signaling cell in the middle of a ring of other amoeboid cells. Then, on the outside of the ring, place other signaling cells at varying distances from individual cells. The theory behind this is that the non-signaling cell will move towards the signaling cell that is closer to it. a.a.i.
