SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE 2 ABSTRACT In years past, software and system development consisted of programmers writing code to solve a problem or to automate a specific business solution. Today’s software development efforts are so big and complex that it takes a team of architects, analysts, programmers, testers, and users working together to created the many lines of code that drive today’s businesses. The most effective way to integrated all the efforts required for a successful software project is by implementing a Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. A Systems Development Life Cycle methodology applies to information system development projects ensuring that all functional and user requirements and the strategic goals and objectives of an organization are met.

SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE 3 Systems Development Lifecycle A systems development life cycle is a framework for describing the phases involved in developing information systems. There are a variety of popular SDLC types that have evolved over the years. Each type has its strengths and weaknesses, and each methodology is best suited to the specific kind of project needs.
