  Hello all, Hope you are having a great week thus far. This week’s reading and topic was interesting. Have a wonderful week all! MLVTW (Marsha) A business process is a continuous process improvement methodology. Upon joining DFAS as a contractor in 2001, DFAS was using CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) as their Business Process Model. CMMI is a process improvement approach used to improve an organizations performance measures. Today DFAS has abandoned much of it CMMI methodology and is moving toward a Six Sigma (Lean 6) approach. The Lean 6 approach basically tries to improve the quality of business process outputs by identifying and removing process defects. Lean 6 uses the following quality management methods: quality planning, quality control, quality assurance, and quality improvement. By using these quality management methods creates an infrastructure of people that are experts in process efficiency and cost reductions.
