Jade Mose, 16, is shackled as he sits in court prior to making his first appearance before Circuit Judge Mark F. Carpanini at the Juvenile Division of the Polk County Courthouse in Bartow Tuesday. Mose is charged with attempted second-degree murder in the stabbing of fellow student Luke Kendall, 16, at Winter Haven High School on Monday. Mose is also charged with carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a weapon on school property, and violation of probation. November 9, 2010.

Unformatted text preview: they will get the same. Everyone deserves the same punishment for the same crime. The juvenile level punishments dont always get the point across Therapy and rehab dont always help kids that are beyond the point of starting over. When they are released and still a minor, they are likely to do the crime again because they know they can get away with it so the lesson isnt learned. Opposing Arguments This doesnt apply to all young criminals. some of them do recover so it isnt fair to judge them all the same. Give Younger ones the same punishment, just keep them separate from older criminals. many people believe that younger teenagers and kids havent fully developed their way of thinking and dont know right from wrong yet, so they should be let off...
