ADVANCED ANALYTICAL LAB TECH (Lecture) CHM 4130-0001 Classroom Instructor: Dr. Andres D. Campiglia Schedule: Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 to 1:15 p.m. at BA2 0210. Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. (Physical Sciences Building, Room 211). Prerequisites: CHM 2211, CHM 3120 and CHM 3411 (CHM 3422 for forensic science students). Objectives: The objective of this course is to provide a background in the principles of chemical instrumentation and instrumental analysis that are of particular importance to quantitative analytical chemistry. Grading Scheme: The final grade (course grade) will be calculated based on the total points distributed in exams. Total Points Distributed in Lecture Exams: 100 points. Exam 1 = 25 points Date = 02/15/2011 Exam 2 = 25 points Date = 03/24/2011 Exam 3 = 25 points Date = 04/21/2011 Final = 25 points Date = Thursday April 28, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. at BA2 0210. Since the exam dates are given well in advance, there will be no make-up exams except in the case of illness. A written doctor’s exemption will be required and an oral make-up exam might be administrated instead of a written exam. Final Grade:
