How to use the right pronoun to answer a question In answering a question, you must first listen for or look carefully at the subject used in the question  to determine the correct subject to use in your response. You can either memorize the charts below  (see tables 1  and 2  ) to determine how to answer the question, or you can think about which pronoun  you'd use to answer the question in English. In other words, if a question is addressed to you, you'd  answer with “I” both in English and Spanish. It is always better to understand than memorize. Once
