James Paul Gee received his Ph.D. in linguistics at Stanford University and is currently a Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at University of Madison-Wisconsin. What is the date of publication? Published: 1989 STRUCTURE 10 pts. Identify the main sections. 5 pts. The authors begin the article by introducing the rise of a new field of study, literacy studies. The next section focuses on the correlation between language and grammar by comparing examples. The third section follows by defining Discourse and it’s various forms: primary and secondary. In the fourth section, Gee explains how conflict within the Discourse can affect the fluency. Next, Gee organizes his concepts of literacy into Theorem One and Theorem Two . In the final section, the author concludes the importance of students to practice the elements of literacy in order to master a Discourse. Identify the documentation format.
