Paul O’Malley Transitions 11-3-09 studying abroad The best trip I’ve ever taken in my life was to Seville in Spain. My sister was studying abroad there and my family went to visit for a week last April. It was an influential trip for me because it was the first time I had ever been to Europe, and the first time I have ever really felt subliminal. It was also meaningful because it was a very significant culture shock for me, and made me realize how people in different countries live. Also, since I love history, it was nice to see different countries ancient architecture and older cities. This trip made me learn many different things that have helped me not only in school, but in life as well. Seeing the effects of socialist governments and people relying on the government was very different and I was amazed at how much the people party there. This made it seem to me like it would be a nice place to study abroad in, seeing as they are some of the laziest people I

Before I went I read a book on Spain’s history and I felt that it benefited me a lot while I was there. I would want to study abroad in Spain for many reasons. The first is that it is one of the most ridiculously beautiful places I have ever been to and writing this paper is making me want to go back there next week, but I digress. Also, when my sister was there she said she probably could’ve passed the classes she took when she was 13 years old. One of her classes literally involved walking around the city and looking at things. It is because of all these reasons, and the wonderful time I had visiting there, that make me want to study abroad in Spain at some point in my college career....
