Minitab Assignment 1 Start a new Minitab session. If you just did a lab, close Minitab and open it again. Set the base to YOUR base. Your base number is on the front cover of the Minitab manual. Generate 200 rows of random data from a normal distribution with a mean of 20 and a standard deviation of 4 in columns c1 – c3. Label each of the three columns with the first four letters of your last name followed by a digit to represent the column number. Example: If your name is Smith then the columns should be labeled Smi1, Smit2, etc. Use row statistics (Lab 1) to determine the mean of each of the 200 rows. Your input variables will be c1 – c3. Store this in column c4 and label the column “x-bar”. This determines the mean of the three numbers in row 1, the mean of the three numbers in row 2, etc. Thus, column 4 is a list of 200 means. Use row statistics to determine the standard deviation of each of the 200 rows. Your input variables will be c1 – c3. Store this in column c5 and label the column “Std dev”.

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
