Romero 1 Jonathon Romero Professor Junkins Composition 1 31 January 2011 Fun with AP Physics Sadly, because I’ve grown up in the greatest country in the world, I’ve spent a majority of my 17 years of life in the public school system. As terrible as this has been, there have been a couple classes that show like rays of light and set themselves apart from the rest. The best example of this is my Advance Placement (AP) Physics course. It is easily the best course I’ve ever had because it has a friendly, personable teacher, my classmates are all really helpful, and the labs are very enjoyable. Being a science class it naturally has a lot of labs and as its my favorite class they are all entertaining. It started with a simple experiment: dropping an egg of a building. The catch was in order to get credit the egg had to survive. So in essence the project was to build a device to cushion the egg… that we then threw off a building. The next project, which granted wasn’t as exciting but still just as compelling, was to build catapults to shoot marbles. Now as dangerous
