Pronoun Reference- The word or group of words that a pronoun replaces is called its antecedent. In order for writing to communicate its message clearly, each pronoun must relate precisely to an antecedent. Subject-Verb Agreement- A subject and its verb match in number (singular or plural) and person (first, second, or third person). Adjective versus Adverb- The difference between adjectives and adverbs relate to how they function. Adjectives modify nouns and pronouns. Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs.
