Krystal Wein English Comp II Reading Assignment 4 I read a poem called October by Charles Wright and I was very confused on what it meant. My guess is that it is about death. In the beginning of the poem he talks about leaves fallin from his fingers lie the leaves that fall off trees in the fall right before winter comes and the trees end up dying. He talkds about the nine steps to heaven which I believe is some kind of catholic belief because I was catholic and I know they have stages you have to go through to go
