North Carolina Teacher Certification and Licensure Requirements Must have a BA or higher from a regionally accredited college or university Also a combination of one item from list one and one item from list two List one BA or higher relevant to subject area 24 semester hours of course work in course area Passing score on Praxis II assessment test for the area of license Passing score on the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (does not apply for English) List two 2.5 GPA or higher
