Students’ Social Challenges 1 Checkpoint: Students’ Social Challenges AED/200 Students’ Social Challenges 2 Three societal issues that students may face outside the classroom are racial discrimination, religious discrimination and stereo typing. For all three of these issues I believe a school should play a role in teaching students how to overcome and to believe in their own values as individuals. In the case of racial discrimination, the school should teach the children that no matter what your race is you should be proud of whom you are and that no matter where you are from to always go for the goals you set for yourself, but to remember the person next to you is your equal and treat them how you want to be treated. Unformatted text preview: discrimination, this is definitely a difficult and cautious area especially if you do not know or understand how a particular religion works. A school can help a student to remember that their religion is a part of which they are and should not be something to cause trouble. Each religion is different in its own way and the student should believe it to the fullest. Finally in the case of stereo typing, schools should teach students that if we are all the same then there would be no fun in the world. Diversity is a great thing for each individual to be unique in their own way from how they act, dress, talk, play, and live because these differences is how we can explore each culture and learn new ways of life....
