LOCKHEED MARTIN CORPORATION Ali Ahmed Recently, Lockheed Martin Corporation, sent a companywide email to its employees and contractors stating that the corporation is potential target for Islamic fundamentalist, and requested everyone to be alert and report suspicious activities at all time. Lockheed Martin had a good reason for sending out the email: it is a major supplier to the U.S. armed forces. It develops and tests weapon systems that are being used to fight the global war on terror. This makes them a potential target of groups such as Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. In particular, Lockheed Martin’s Hellfire missile, launched from unmanned aircraft, known as drones, has been effective in defeating high-level terrorist leaders. The media reported recently that the CIA has equipped drones with even more precise weapons, such as the Lockheed Martin Scorpion, to strike terrorist hideouts. This paper shall briefly look at what Lockheed Martin actually does for the military, outline the various threats it faces as a result of its relationship with the U.S.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
