Bio 2011 - Exam II guide Dr. Will Crampton Fall 2011 1 Exam II – guide Overview: You will be examined on material from the lectures and the relevant chapters in the textbook. As With exam I, I will place EMPHASIS on material covered in my lectures. Many of my questions are designed to check your understanding of BROAD PATTERNS and UNIFYING CONCEPTS from the material we have studied. However, there will also be some FACTUAL QUESTIONS. When it comes to the names of taxa – concentrate on the higher level groups and do not get bogged down trying to learn the structures of the trees. Below is a detailed guide to what will and what will not be covered in the exam. The exam will last the duration of the 50 minute class. There will be 50 multiple-choice questions. That means there will be around 5 questions per lecture and a few questions that draw from more than one chapter. You must bring your ID and we would like you to arrive EARLY. The use of ALL ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES (CALCULATORS, CELLPHONES, PDAS, ETC.) is PROHIBITED. Read syllabus for more details. Bags will need to be put at front and back of room, so please don’t bring valuables.
