Example 2 Solve for  x.   x  + 4 = 19  Subtract 4 from each side of the equation to get the 3  x  by itself on one side.  Then divide each side of the equation by 3 to get  x.   Remember that solving an equation is using opposite operations until the letter is on a side by itself
