Sex education Sex. It is everywhere around us. Todd Zwillich from foxnews did a study in 2005 that says in one hour of watching tv, you see 6 sexual scences. And that is just on tv. We see and hear sexual references all the time in our daily lives. However, the one place we should be hearing about sex, we often do not. Today I am here to persuade you that sex education, specifically abstinence plus, should be taught in all schools. I will tell you what absitence plus is, how it is effective, and why abstinence-plus is the best program to teach. Abstinence plus is a form of sex education that teaches students what abstinence is but also realizes the fact that not all teens will stay abstinent and teaches them about contraceptive methods and sextually transmitted infections. I am from Connecticut which does not requires sex education in school and there are no specific content requirements if it is taught in schools but my school taught a abstinence plus curriculum. According to guttmacher.org Maine is required to teach sex education and HIV education in the school systems and they must stress abstinence and
