Comedy originated from Greek and comprised of the two main genres that developedfrom Greek playhouses. Comedy is defined as playhouse work done to make people laugh. InGreek, comedy was used to enlighten the moods of the audience after they had watched atrilogy of plays. Their plays contained mythical elements in the costumes they wore, but theirstories were based on fun. The games portrayed greed and corruption in the Atheniansocieties. After some time, comedy gained popularity such that audiences wanted to go to thetheatres only to have fun and laugh. There are numerous forms of humor; they comprise satireparody, farce, and character comedy—different types of comedy address various issues.Satire as a form of comedy mocks the problems found in our societies. Theseglitches can be injustices found in our community and inequalities. Satire as a form of comedyuses humor, exaggeration, and irony to ridicule and denounce people's foolishness or crimesmore so in recent politics and additional topical problems.
