Liberalism Key Beliefs 1) To a Liberal states don’t naturally go to war with each other the wars are caused by leadership n conflict between people over freedom, self determination, Democracy and Justice. 2) One must emphasize morality in international politics protection of human rights and the ultimate reduction of poverty, because failed states will create situations where freedom is less likely. 3) They support low tariffs and competing markets all for Capitalism (John smith) is associated with this. Supporters of Laissez faire 4) People have a right to private property and investing it without the fear of government controls and intervention. Basically Greed is Good. 5) They believe whatever your country produces the cheapest and best is what you have a surplus of and you should produce to trade with different countries, this they call the law of comparative advantage. 6) To the Liberal it is possible for both states to win they see it possible for there to be win win situations. Between nations unlike the Realist point of view.
