Introduction . Definition for leader is the process of directing the behavior of others toward the accomplishment of some objective or causing individuals to act in a certain way or to follow a particular course. A contemporary leader is a leader who uses personal influence to develop and inspire people to achieve organizational goals and make a difference in the community, and my role leader for this assignment I will choose a Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist, who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British Rule, and in turn inspire movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is widely recognized as one of the twentieth century's greatest political and spiritual leaders. Honoured in India as the father of the nation, he pioneered and practiced the principle of Satyagraha, resistance to tyranny through mass nonviolent civil disobedience. A great leader posses a clear vision, is courageous, has integrity, honesty, humility and clear focus. Great leaders help people reach their goals, are not afraid to hire people that might be better than them and take pride in the accomplishments of those they help along the way. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was a transformational leader meaning that he was a leader who leads by example and empower his followers to make them feel better. A leader can do many things in order to be a transformational leader including Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Furthermore, as a leader he used to have a three categories leader approaches, leader centered, follower centered, and interactive. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi
