Database: Access In-Class Practice I Recitation #8: Tables in Microsoft Access March 02/03, 2011 Objective: Be able to develop data tables and create a database structure Instructions: 1) Launch Microsoft Access and create a New Database by clicking the “Blank Database” icon The “Blank Database” pane will open on the right side of the screen. 2) Type in “SpartanDB.accdb” as the title, and save the database in your ITM309 folder on your P: Drive (to choose the location, click on the little folder to the right of the filename field). 3) The first table is created by default when your new DB is created. Change to the “design” view, name the table “Customer”, and build the tables as described below. New tables can be added using the “Create” Ribbon 4) After building first table “customer table”, then continue to build the rest of three tables. 1
