The article indicated that a Michigan State University study has determined the roofs which covered with plants, would eliminate the carbon dioxide emitted by vehicles. The scientists, led by horticulturist Kristin Getter and Professor Brad Rowe, found that the replacement of traditional roofing materials with green plants in a city area with a population of 1 million, would equivalently eliminate a year’s worth of carbon dioxide which emitted by 1000 mid-size vehicles and trucks. This news states that, to solve the environmental problem of global warming, the green roofs helps. The scientists said they measured carbon levels in plant and soil samples gathered from 13 green roofs in Michigan and Maryland during a 2-year period. The researchers said their study is
