SPEECH DAY PROTOCOL Speech days are REQUIRED attendance in this course. Do not miss unless you have a very serious ailment or emergency. This is a performance-based course. These speeches are the main focus of the course and the primary mode of evaluation. Here are some general rules: 1. Show up on time. At the start of class I will close the door and you will not able to enter until the speaker is finished. If you are not IN THE CLASSROOM when I call your name for the speech, you will be skipped over and not receive a second chance. This holds for UNEXCUSED absences, as well. Let me make this very clear: if you are not in the classroom when I call your name and cannot provide a note you will receive an F for that speech. 2. If you are in the class and do not have your materials when I call your name, you will be skipped and you WILL NOT have a second chance. Let me make this very clear: if you are not prepared when I call your name you will receive an F for that speech.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
