To familiarize yourself with how the CES EduPack software works, work through the following Video Tutorials: “Browse — Levels 1 and 2” “Graph Stage — display tools” “Graph Stage — plotting charts” “Graph Stage — selection tools” While doing these tutorials, find the answers to the following questions: a) (1 point) What is the range of compositions of common nickel alloys? b) (1 point) How much water is needed to produce nickel alloys, in liters per kg? c) (1 point) What is the range of masses of polymer parts that can be blow-molded? d) (2 points) List four polymer materials that can be blow-molded. Solution a) Click on the “Browse” icon. Select the subset as “ Edu level 1 ”. Then on “ Metals and alloys category, Non-ferrous , choose Nickel alloys . You will find the answer under the composition: Nickel with up to 30 % Cu and Al. b) Click on the “Browse” icon. Select the subset as “ Edu level 2 with eco properties ”. Then on Metals and alloys ” category, Non-ferrous , Choosing Nickel alloys will give you the range of 0.134 – 0.512 m 3 / kg Choosing Nickel-based super alloys will give you the range of 0.134 – 0.484 m 3 / kg Choosing Nickel-based super alloys will give you the range of 0.134 – 0.512 m 3 / kg (any of these ranges is acceptable for full credit)
