Unformatted text preview: A magnetic flow meter is a volumetric flow meter which uses the principles of Faraday’s law which states that the voltage induced across any conductor as it moves at right angles through a magnetic field is proportional to the velocity of that conductor. The velocity is then used to calculate the flow rate. Magnetic meters are ideal for situations that involve any dirty liquid as long as it is water based and therefore conductive. Magnetic meters have no moving parts and do not obstruct water as it passes through as well as no pressure drop across it. http://www.omega.com/prodinfo/magmeter.html http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/flow-meters-d_493.html...
