Electronegativity:

The tendency of an element to attract and bind electrons. High electronegativity
means electrons are bound very tightly and the element has a tendency to rip
electrons off of other atoms/compounds
o
Electronegativity increases from left to right and from bottom to top on the
periodic table.
Gravity vs. Electronegativity:
o
Gravity off = high potential energy
o
Gravity on = low potential energy
o
Carbon = low electronegativity
