MAC 1114 Trigonometry Fall 2011 Instructor: Ning Guo Office: Little Hall 475 Office hours: T6, W4 and R8 Email: guoning@ufl.edu Course homepage: http://www.math.ufl.edu/~guoning/MAC1114/MAC1114.htm Textbook : Precalculus with Limits (2 nd edition) by Larson. Do NOT purchase Webassign access. Attendance : Attendance in this lecture is required. It will represent a certain percentage of your final grade. Please print out lecture notes and bring them to class. Exams : There will be three in-semester exams and a cumulative final exam. Exam will be held during class, the dates will be announced. Quizzes : There will be 11 quizzes worth 10 points each. It will be given on each Tuesday. The top 9 quiz scores will be used in the computation of your final grade. Quizzes will be based on the recent homework assignments. Makeup policy: No makeups for quizzes will be given. A makeup final exam will only be given for legitimate and extreme emergencies. All attempts will be made to schedule the makeup BEFORE the actual exam date.

It will not be collected, however, quiz problems will be straight from the homework. Also it is highly recommended that you keep up with it to be prepared for the exams. Final Grades : A [90% - 100%)]; A- [85 % - 90%); B+ [81% - 85%) ; B [78% -81%); B- [74% - 78%); C+ [71% - 74%); C [65% -71%); D [56% - 65%); E ( less than 56%) You must retain all returned papers in case of any discrepancy with your course grade. Mistakes in grading or recording of scores without the original document cannot be corrected. Disputed points can be corrected only in the week you get your paper back. Disabilities: Students requesting classroom accomodation must first register with the Dean of Students Office. The Dean of Students Office will provide documentation to the student who must then provide this documentation to the Instructor when requesting accommodation....
