Course Grade: The grade you receive will be based on your midterm scores (two midterms, each worth 100 points), homework and quiz scores (which will be scaled to a maximum of 100 points), and final score (worth 200 points). Thus there are 500 points to earn. Extra credit work will not be assigned under any circumstances. Grading Scale: You may use the following letter grade scale to evaluate your performance on the exams: A : 90%-100% B+: 83%-86% C+: 73%-76% D+: 63%-66% E: 0%-59% A-: 87%-89% B : 80%-82% C : 70%-72% D : 60%-62% B-: 77%-79% C-: 67%-69% The actual cutoffs will not be raised, but they may be lowered. Calculator Policy: A graphics calculator will be helpful occasionally for doing some of the homework problems.
