The industrial revolution is one of the most significant events throughout the history. It originally started off in the United Kingdom, but eventually spread throughout the whole world, including the United States. It refers to the period where there is a dramatic change from using hand-made tools or labor to machineries and technologies. Originally it benefitted the middle class, but nowadays, everyone is affected by this major change. People from the farming and agriculture sector moved to the urban center (cities). They also got more immigration of people from native countries. An advancement in technology provided people to come up with cures for certain diseases. X-rays were discovered as well which allowed doctors to diagnose medical problems faster. This eventually decreased the mortality rate and they got a rapid increase in the labor force. Immigrants usually included skilled labors, which was good since labors were in demand. Steam power James Watt invented an improved steam engine which propelled the industrial revolution. It made it possible to drain deep mines and extract more coal by using steam to our advantage. Use of the steam engine in
