BRAE 236 - Lab 1 Irrigation System TOUR Deliverables : 1 page single-spaced summary write up of the lab. Name, Date and Class in upper right hand corner. 12 point Times New Roman font. Notes must be included as an attachment. Provide a summary of the irrigation system tour noting key points. Summarize the types of facilities, sizes, capacities, constraints, etc. Include images as necessary. DUE Wednesday 9/28/11 at start of lab. NO LATE REPORTS ACCEPTED Field Assignment: Take a tour of the Irrigation Practice Field (IPF) and perform tasks at 4 stations (20 minutes per station). Station 1: Border Irrigation Task: Turn on one border. Use stopwatch and tape measure to measure and record time it takes for water to advance down the field. Record the data every 5 minutes until the groups rotate. The first 2 groups will measure the “advance”. The water will then be shut off and the second 2 groups will measure the “recession”. Station 2: Furrow Irrigation
