This should always be your first step when given data; it allows you to see the qualitative trend of the variable V as a function of time. Now that we have done this we can use figure 1 for parts A and B. In order to estimate the volume of water that had flowed into the lake after 5 days, we graphed the data points and drew a best fit line. Recall that linear interpolation (or estimating the value at t=5 based on t=4 and t=6) is incorrect. This is because linear interpolation assumes that you have a linear relationship between the two data points. It is obvious 1
