The test Focus on the topics we’ve covered in class and that have been in the readings Use the PowerPoint slides as a reference, as well as relevant portions of the book I will generally focus on material discussed in lecture, but will likely have some questions on material that was in the book but not explicitly discussed in lecture. From the kingdom tour Know the phyla / groups we covered in lecture for each kingdom Know major characteristics of each group / how you could tell them apart This is especially relevant for the kingdoms Knowing individual organisms from each group may be useful, but I will not ask questions exclusively about placement of individual species (but could include species in a question with other information) Remember that we’ve done more than the kingdom tour!
