Beowulf Beowulf, an epic hero who’s qualities conclude of bravery, honor, and loyalty. He is the ultimate icon, representing his culture. His values represent the essential values of the Anglo-Saxon culture. King Hrothgar builds a mead hall, which hosts his warriors and allows them to drink and gather together. They are terrorized nightly by the demon named Grendel. Instead of running off and being scared by this demon, Beowulf takes matter into his own hands and decides to sail to Denmark, with hopes to defeat Grendel. Society and almost everything about it has changed from the olden days. Values, cultures, and just regular everyday life is almost completely different from how it used to be. Beowulf is an archetypal character, but the values that we can infer from reading this story can be translated into values that one would see present day. Beowulf is faithful, and he is loyal. He stays true to his people and is willing to be an ultimate hero and risk his life for them. He can be compared to
