Assignment 1 Instructions 354 Cost Accounting – Fall 2011 Due Thursday, November 10, 2011 (10 points) This is a TEAM assignment. Please complete the following problems using the supplied Excel file (See Blackboard – Assignments) and submit all parts in ONE Excel file. The name of the file MUST include your team name (e.g. TEAM 1_Assignment 1). There are several parts to this assignment. For full credit answer all parts. Please read these instructions carefully. Open the Assignments Module in Blackboard and download the Assignment 1 file. It is an Excel file. This assignment requires a cover page and is included in the file. Add your team name to the beginning of the file name, and save. When you are finished, upload the file to Blackboard - Assignments by the due date. Do NOT email the file. In this Excel file there is a tab for each problem at the bottom of the page. Please open the respective worksheet tabs and complete the assignment. Design your answer in good form. Refer to the textbook if you have questions about how to set up a problem. I will be looking for correct answers as well as good form. Remember: neatness counts. You MUST show calculations to support your answers, where appropriate , otherwise there will be no credit given. You MUST use the provided answer sheet. No other file will be graded . There can be no exceptions. SUGGESTIONS: Have each team member do the analysis and work out the problems. Then collaborate and consolidate the best from each team member. Please edit carefully. Poorly designed assignments will lose points. Submitting the Assignment The team leader will submit the assignment as ONE file by uploading it to the Assignment Drop Box (BlackBoard - Assignments) by 11:59 pm of the due date, with a Cover Page.
