Hackett 1 Ana Hackett Professor Hall English 1010 November 13, y Physician Assisted Suicide: The Right to Die Outline Being born and dying are, in my opinion, two of the most natural events to ever occur. If someone wants to have a baby, they start trying to get pregnant, or if they can’t get pregnant on their own-they elect to adopt, have a surrogate mother carry the child, or a sperm donor father the child-among many other things. There are so many options to choose from when it comes to bringing a life in to the world, why aren't there just as many options for people who want to leave it? Suicide is one option people do have. People have been committing suicide for years, and nothing is going to stop them now. If someone wants to end their life, they may shoot themselves, overdose on medications, walk into traffic; there are so many options. If someone were to fail in ending their own life, they will most likely have to live in agony for the rest of their lives. This agony will be due to physical, emotional, social, or even mental anguish due to their failure. In cases where the person is going to die anyway, and is in uncontrollable, and intolerable pain-we should allow these people to have a choice of a physicians assisted suicide. The physician will aid the patient in dying a controlled, peaceful, and painless death. Some people believe that this way of ding is
