Since DSR uses route caching, a source node S may be aware of multiple routes to a destination D. Suppose that the source S randomly selects one of the known routes to D, with least number of hops, for each packet sent to D (thus different routes may be used for different packets). Describe a potential advantage of this approach, and a potential disadvantage of this approach. Assume that the traﬃc sent by S may contain UDP and TCP packets. Problem 2 (10 points) Consider Figure 6.6 from Lecture Notes (page 124). Re-draw the routing tables shown in Figure 6.6 (a)-(d) (i.e., routing tables at A and D), when all initial link costs are twice those shown in Figure 6.6a. Problem 3 (5 points) Consider a pair of nodes A and B close to each other such that a single hop route exists between these nodes.
