Executives: Making It by Faking It 2 Executives: Making It by Faking It Introduction Throughout this case study the issue of executives faking their educational background and what the HR manager can do to alleviate this problem will be examined. By performing thorough background checks, this includes criminal, educational, and work history the HR manager can further qualify potential candidates, especially for authoritative positions, and deem them a better fit for the company. Review/Analysis of the Case The kind of situations that the educational background would be important for a management position would be in hiring for a financial manager, Healthcare management, and even HR manager position. In all of these situations it is important for there to be a good educational background along with some real life experience to be considered for these positions. For example a company would not want to just hire anyone off of the street to manage the
