EMC Confronts Harassment Charge 2 EMC Confronts Harassment Charge Introduction Throughout this paper the issues of sexual harassment and sexual discrimination will be discussed along with alternatives that EMC can implement to modify this behavior within their company. By writing and enforcing a harassment policy as well as taking steps to value diversity will help EMC to avoid future lawsuits, giving the company a better reputation while still keeping its competitive edge. Review/Analysis of the Case After comparing the text to the case study I believe that EMC has created/permitted a “hostile working environment”. A hostile working environment is deemed by the Equal Employment Opportunity commission (EEOC) to be a form of sex discrimination and therefore sexual harassment. Whether this was intentional or not on the part of EMC is debatable however
