ORGANIZATION OF MEMORANDUM: Experiment #9.1: (1) simple circuit in which a variable (changing) resistor is set up in series with an 820 picofarad capacitor. Experiment #9.2: (1) RCL Meter used to obtain measured values of R1, R2, R3, C1, C2, L1 and L2 as seen in figure one, followed by (1) PSPICE simulation. Experiment #9.3: (1) circuit, containing three resistors (one load resistor), two capacitors, and two inductors. This circuit which can be seen in figure one was setup to measure Thévenin Equivalence. II. MEMORANDUM FORMAT: This lab consisted of three parts (9.1-9.3). The experiment began with part (9.1), in which an 820 picofarad capacitor was connected in series with various resistors. . The specifications for this circuit were: sine waveform, with a frequency of 10 kHz, and a V P of 5.0. The main goal of part (9.1) was to find a value of the voltage drop across the resistor,R p ; and also to find the phase between the resistor and capacitor. The next part of the experiment was part (9.2) in which a Philips PM6304 Programmable Automatic RCL Meter was used to measure values of the components of the circuit seen in figure 1 R1, R2, R3, C1, C2, L1 and L2. The final part of this experiment consisted of PSPICE simulations to find V TH , I SC , and Z TH . Part (9.3)
