The George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science Experiment 8 – Seven Segment Decoder By: Berk Bozoklar Lab Partners: Joshua Dean Eric Herrera T.A: Jie Chen Due Date: February 23, 2011 Abstract: This lab provides an introduction to using the BCD-to-7 Segment Decoder (7447) and 7-segment Display (HDSP-5621)), Power Supply, Digital Voltmeter, and Function Generator. 1. Introduction: The main goal of this laboratory is to observe the input output characteristics and transfer function of the the BCD-to-7 Segment Decoder (7447) and 7-segment Display (HDSP-5621). This was to be accomplished by using a DC Power Supply and a DMM. The objective of this lab will be accomplished when gate’s logical operations are functionally observed. 2. Equipments BCD-to-7 Segment Decoder (7447) 7-segment Display (HDSP-5621)Power Supply Breadboard Function Generator Digital Multimeter 3.
