The household I used for this project is in Cambridge, OH. Prior to the Ecological Footprint quiz, I thought myself as a decently conscious environmentalist. I try my best to purchase locally grown produce, organic products, and use energy saving applications whenever available. Also, we use fluorescent light bulbs and energy efficient appliances. In addition, almost all of our windows are double paned and doors have storm doors to hold in the heat/cold air to reduce our use of the thermostat. However, I was startled to see the very high numbers in my family’s footprint. Taking the quiz was a harsh, but great, realization to make me see how much we can be reducing our footprint and bettering our environment. All of the options that I
