What is an adverb? A modifier or word that modifies other elements in a sentence: a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. Answers questions such as How? How long? How much? When? and Where?

What is an adverb? Even in English adverbs are most likely made from adjectives. In English, most adverbs end in –ly. These adverbs are used mostly for modifying verbs. Not all words that end in –ly are adverbs and not all adverbs end in -ly.

What is an adverb? An adverb that modifies a verb is generally more flexible: it may appear before or after the verb it modifies (" softly sang" or "sang softly "), or it may appear at the beginning of the sentence (" Softly she sang to the baby").

When using more than 1 adverb that has mente, only the final adverb adds the mente. Making adverbs If the adjective is genderless, such as fcil, then you just add mente. Easy becomes easily. Fcilmente If the adjective is gendered, such as lento, then you have to change the adjective to the feminine form, and then add mente. Slow will become slowly.
