Name: Nicholas Connolly Class Time: 2:15 MGT 291 Assignment #5 Frieda and Stan clearly come from two completely different backgrounds. Besides their race and gender, they see the world and approach situations in two different ways. Though both of them in a way make reasonable arguments and are correct, it is hard to give credit to Stan for sticking to his values and beliefs. Stan is correct in saying that the business world is a very conservative one, and that one small slip up or mistake can cost them a customer who will go next door and give that bank their business. Stan did the right thing by letting Frieda approach him with her problem and give her a truthful explanation. He explains to her that everyone plays a certain role in a company, and some people have greater strengths than others in certain areas. Stan is in a tough situation because he needs to run a successful bank and keep his customers happy, but at the same time he needs to keep his employees happy as well.
