Nicholas Connolly Eng 112 Dr. Rees 4/2/2009 My Memorable Fancy Grandpa Joyce was in the hospital for quite some time now. Making trips to Northwestern Memorial hospital started to become second nature to our family, which wasn’t our favorite thing, but he was family. We didn’t know exactly when he was going up to Heaven, but the doctors had told us that it was going to soon. I said prayers every night, asking him to take care of Grandpa Joyce. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to him just yet, he was too important to me, and I didn’t know what I would do with out him, I simply loved him too much. Please keep him in my life.” It was only a few days after that we got the call that Grandpa Joyce was any minute for passing away; it would take only a miracle for him to stay alive. The whole family was there, praying, but sitting hopelessly waiting on our Grandpa’s last breaths. The sadness was to overwhelming for me, I didn’t know what to do. It was then, his youngest grandson put his Saint Christopher (the saint of protection) necklace, which his grandpa had given him on his chest. Grandpa Joyce woke up, a miracle it was....
