Nicholas Connolly MBI 111 Section E 2/10/2010 H1N1 Virus Continues to Effect Americans Though many people think that because the H1N1 flu virus is not talked about or written about on a daily basis like it was this past fall, that it is gone for good. This article alerts the public that it still effecting and killing people. The vaccination for the virus has not gotten around to every American and the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is warning the public to get the vaccine if you have not already. There were 124 million doses of the vaccine made and only 70 million Americans have gotten the vaccine. There are still cases of the H1N1 occurring and they want this to stop for good. The CDC says that there has been anywhere from 7,880 to 16,460 H1N1 related deaths between April and December of last year. Even though those numbers are extremely high, the CDC is pleased because at least 37% of children under the age of 18 have already been vaccinated, which is going to slowly prevent the Swine Flu from effecting as many
