INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY Philosophy 104 Professor Stephen Stich FIRST PAPER Instructions Your paper should be on one of the following topics, and should be between 1000 & 1500 words in length. Further details about what is expected in your paper will be provided in the discussion sections. If you have questions about what is expected, you should bring them up during the discussion sections or in office hours. A hardcopy of your paper is due in lecture on Monday, October 26. You must also submit an e-copy on the Sakai Assignments page no later than 11:00 p.m. on October 26. Your paper will be considered LATE unless both the hardcopy and the e-copy are submitted on time. Late papers will lose six points on the 40 point grading scale. An additional six points will be deducted each week until both the hardcopy and the e-copy are submitted. Hardcopies of late papers must be submitted directly to your discussion section instructor. Do not leave your paper in your instructor’s mail box or under their office door!
