One way Lab 4 Questions Name: One-way Analysis of Variance with Three Groups 1. Write a research question for a one-way ANOVA with three groups. Describe the target population and how the sample was drawn from the population so as to ensure representativeness. Describe the study design. 2. Label the independent and dependent variables and explain how you will operationally define them. Label the independent variable groups. How will you measure the outcome of the study? List ANOVA assumptions. 3. Write null, alternative, and working hypotheses for your design in terms of the tested variables. Enter a minimum of 15 scores (5 per group) and create a significance difference between at least two of the groups without violating any tested assumptions. 4. Report and interpret the significance levels for Levene’s and Omnibus test. Do you reject or fail to reject your null hypotheses for these tests? What are your conclusions about your data, your results, the nature of the relationship between the tested groups? 5. Report and interpret the results of the Scheffe’ test. Does it support or refute your original working hypothesis? Why or why not? Speculate as to the reason for your findings.
