Shane Swaby 10-22-11 Dr. Sanon Synthesis Paper #7 AAS 270: Major Issues in Caribbean Studies We have continued to discuss the outbreak of the AIDS pandemic, and are continuing on our search of figuring out exactly where lies the source of the problem. But what we have not taken into consideration was the effect that AIDS had on the lives of individuals and what necessary precautions they have taken. As for as the reading of AIDS and Accusations , by Paul Farmer, we come across different individuals who live with this deadly disease. Now it may not give you clues as to how the cure will be discovered, but it gives you an insight and a bit more side knowledge on the people affected by AIDS and in all, the views within global perception. With the lack of resources in the 3 rd world countries, many people were constantly being wrongly diagnosed or left untreated with no confirmed diagnosis. Of those in the 1 st world countries, if a breakout occurs such as one of our recent outbreaks of Swine Fluenza; within a year we already have
